Company Management Visited Employees Engaging in Turnaround


In the morning of October 31st, as turnaround was approaching, two groups respectively led by Mr. Joost Emmen, Mr. Yousuf and Mr. Zhao Tianxing visited the front-line employees and send them cookies, instant noodles, drinks etc., and extended the care and best wishes from the Company.

Mr. Joost Emmen first visited the CCR of EOEG unit in Quangang Petrochemical Industrial Park. He shook hands with each employee on post, and expressed his gratitude to EOEG BT for safe / stable operation in this year, as well as higher profit than last year.

    “Are you ready for turnaround?!”

As arriving at CCR2, Mr. Joost Emmen asked in Chinese. He told everyone that the upcoming turnaround would be tough and challenging, but also a good opportunity to remove bottlenecks, improve reliability and increase capacity. We should fully understand the extreme importance of turnaround, and go all out in the turnaround and construction work. Whether the turnaround could be completed in a safe, high quality and efficient manner was key for stable operation in the next production cycle, as well as critical for the completion of 2018 objectives and future development of the Company. We must ensure safety, quality and schedule, and secure a victory over turnaround with high-quality and efficient completion of maintenance tasks, so as to create value for shareholders and contribute to local economy development.

During his visit at LYW Terminal, Mr. Joost Emmen and the group expected that Terminal BT would carry forward a good work style, especially in export of gasoline/ diesel/ jet fuel, and make new contributions to the Company capacity expansion and profit improvement. When he learned that during turnaround, Terminal BT would overcome difficulties and make effort in delivering oil product to SSPC to ensure market supply, Mr. Joost Emmen expressed his recognition and appreciation, saying that this was an opportunity to shape a good image for the Company.

Vice presidents Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf and Mr. Zhao Tianxing visited CCR1 and sent gifts to the employees on posts. They had a friendly discussion with employees and asked in detail about the preparations for turnaround, as well as logistics support during turnaround.

During their visit, Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf and Mr. Zhao Tianxing emphasized that: first, must attach great importance to turnaround, with good organization and ensure good progress in turnaround preparation; second, must ensure safety and adhere to one team, one goal for a high quality and efficient turnaround. Third, must ensure the quality of turnaround, seize the opportunity of turnaround to fully realize 2018 production/ operation tasks of the Company, and lay a good foundation for safe/ stable operation in the next operation circle.

The Company management also visited the employees in gasoline and diesel loading station, new main substation building and product quality center. They asked in detail about production and lift of the employees, and expressed best wishes of the Company management to the employees.

As received the care from the management, employees built more confidence and determination for a successful turnaround. The employees expressed that it was their responsibilities to work on turnaround. They would take initiatives in overcoming difficulties, work hard to win this tough battle, and lay a solid foundation for further and long-term development of FREP. (Xuan Wen)
